A Word from Butterfly

Hello, everyone!  My name is Butterfly.  I came to TIRR Rescue in 2015 with my brother, Ralph, and sister, Gabby.

We were caught by animal control and were pretty feral. A  nice man saw us and didn't want us to be put down simply because we didn't know how to trust humans, so he adopted us.  He tried his hardest to help us acclimate, but it just didn't work out.  He was equipped to handle three feral dogs, so he contacted TIRR Rescue, who could help us become house dogs and find us forever homes.

We're all still a little distrustful of humans, though we like our regular rescue workers.  I've made a little progress in learning to trust humans, though I'm not playful with new and strange people.  Once I get to know you, I'm willing to let you pet me, but not more than a simple scratch every now and then.

I would do really well in a home; I just need someone who will give me time to get used to my new people and place and help me work on my shyness.  If you think you could be that person, be sure to contact my rescue people!
