Meet Brandy… 7-year-old spayed female

Brandy is a very active 7-year-old. She is totally dependent upon her human family for emotional support.  She is not happy if she cannot be near her humans. 

Brandy is a big girl at 84 pounds.  She does walk fairly well on a leash provided the person at the other end of the leash is in charge.  She will try to take over but is easily corrected.   

And last, but certainly not least – Brandy is looking for a permanent home.  She would be happy to be an only dog, but also does enjoy another strong lead dog, perhaps a male.

Brandy was surrendered by her owner due to conflicts with another dog in the household.  Although we know she had a conflict, she has interacted well with several dogs since arriving at TIRR Rescue.  She does gain some tranquility when another strong lead dog is around.  Her best friend is a dog much younger and larger.  I would say she is almost dependent upon this dog for support.  This tells me that she is capable of building a quick & solid bond with any dog that does not try to dominate or intimidate her.  We have found that Brandy is a little nervous and thrives on having her human close at hand.  She is definitely looking for a family that needs a dog; she is definitely a dog looking for a family.
