A Word from Boomer
Hey, everyone! My name is Boomer. I came to TIRR Rescue from Oklahoma back in 2018.
I had an awesome family. I was spoiled rotten, usually getting things my way. Then we had a baby. Don't get me wrong, I liked the baby. I just didn't like certain people being around the baby. One time, when my mom's mom was babysitting, we got into it with each other. She was worried I was going to hurt the baby (which was dumb; I had issues with her, not the baby) and made my parents get rid of me.
They brought me to TIRR Rescue to find a new forever home. I'm a pretty cool dog, but I don't like to feel cornered or trapped. If you try to be pushy with me, I will snap at you. I'm a great dog; I just need the right person to come along and adopt me! If you think you might be that person, be sure to contact my rescue people!

PERSONALITY:
Boomer is a sweet old dog with a bit of a grumpy side. He doesn't like to be pushed around or feel trapped; he will bite if he feels threatened. We believe he might have been cornered and hurt at one point and learned that if he exploded, he would be left alone. He would do best in a home without young children. He needs adopters who understand his boundaries. He would do great with an older couple who let him curl up on the couch with them.
