A Word from Wednesday

Hello! My name is Wednesday. I have been with TIRR Rescue for quite a while now.

My owner surrendered me to TIRR Rescue hoping they could find me a better home with someone that could take care of me.

You see, to some people, I have special needs. I had a stroke once, so now my face is kind of funky looking (though I think that only adds to my charm). I’m also an old gal, which a lot of people seem to have a problem with, though, in my opinion, senior dogs are so much better! We’re old enough that we know most of the tricks of the trade (potty training, sit, down, to name a few) and we’ve seen so much that very little phases us anymore. People tend to believe that if they adopt a senior dog, it will only be for a short time. But just because I’m a “senior” dog doesn’t mean I’ve got one foot in the grave. I’m still spunky!

In fact, I’m spunky enough that I like to chase cats and chickens, so I’d work best in a home that doesn’t have either of those things. I also, personally, am not a big fan of little kids - they tend to get in my face and I like my personal space! However, I do LOVE to have my butt rubbed and my fur brushed! You should definitely come meet me!
