A Word from Gabby
Hello! My name is Gabby. I came to TIRR Rescue in 2015 with my brother, Ralph, and sister, Butterfly.
We were caught by animal control and were pretty feral. A nice man saw us and didn’t want us to be put down simply because we didn’t know how to trust humans, so he adopted us. He tried his hardest to help us acclimate, but it just didn’t work out. He wasn’t equipped to handle three feral dogs, so he contacted TIRR Rescue, who could help us become house dogs and find us forever homes.
We’re all still a little distrustful of humans, though we like our regular rescue workers. I’ve made some progress trusting humans, becoming more playful as I get more comfortable. When people come into my play yard to clean up, I like to walk behind them, goose them, and then bark and trot away when they turn around.
Though I am getting better, I would still do best in a calm and quiet home. I need someone who will give me time and patience and is willing to slowly earn my trust.
